STRAWBERRIES and cream washed down with champagne were enjoyed by dozens of visitors at the annual Winchester College v Eton cricket match.
Parents, smartly dressed with boaters completing the scene, also enjoyed picnics in the gardens at the event in New Field, Winchester, which marked the highlight of the college's social diary. After enjoying their lunch, parents were given the opportunity to view the work done by students over the year, before gathering around the river for a regatta. The only downside of the event for the college was the result of the cricket match, which was won by Eton by 11 runs.
