DEVON all-rounder Ryan Stevenson has signed a contract until the end of the season after impressing during his trial.
The 23-year old, who was spotted by Director of Cricket Giles White playing for Devon against Berkshire at Finchampstead a fortnight ago, took 4-20 in yesterday's abandoned Second Eleven Championship match against Kent.
He has also impressed with the bat and in the field.
Stevenson said: “Everyone has been really welcoming since I arrived here and it’s a great feeling to be offered a deal until the end of the season.
“I don’t like to think too far ahead but hopefully this deal allows me to settle in and I can impress the coaches over the next two months.”
White, who also played for Devon in the early 1990s, said: “Ryan’s come under the radar, but let’s see where it leads. I think he’s got a lot of talent and potential.”
