We'll get you answers.

That's what lawyers acting for Hazel Ladbrooke’s grieving family said today as they insisted “difficult” questions were still to be faced by Southampton General Hospital.

Patricia Wakeford, from Blake Lapthorn clinical negligence team, pictured, said: “There remain serious question marks hanging over the quality of care that Hazel received in the crucial minutes that followed her cardiac arrest.

“A mix of incorrect equipment and equipment failure contributed to the avoidable delay in urgent treatment being carried out.

“While the commitment of individual members of staff is not in doubt, Southampton General Hospital, its systems and procurement policy in place at the time, all failed Mrs Ladbrooke.

“These are difficult questions for Southampton General Hospital to face but Mrs Ladbrooke’s family is entitled to answers and we intend to press for them
