A BUSY junction has been reopened after a lorry shed its 2.5 tonne load of sand sparking chaos on a Hampshire motorway.
Drivers had faced delays of up to 30 minutes on the M271 northbound leaving Southampton.
It came after a lane was closed on the junction three roundabout of the M27 when a lorry shed its load.
Police descended on the scene and queues were reported on the westbound off slip from the same roundabout.
But the large pile of dark grey silt has since been cleared up and traffic is now easing in the area with delays down to ten minutes.
