AN OLYMPIC gold medallist has inspired the women of Hampshire to get out on their bikes.
They took part in an event organised by Breeze Rides, which took cyclists on a route focusing on sites associated with Olympic star cyclist Dani King.
They set off from Haskins Garden Centre in West End and ended in Hamble, Dani’s home village, taking in the Dani King Cycleway in Hamble and finishing at the golden postbox in Hamble painted in her honour.
It was 14 miles there and back.
Breeze Rides is a national initiative to get more women cycling on the roads.
