A WORLD famous Hampshire firm today bids for its 70th consecutive gold medal at the Chelsea Flower Show.

Hillier Nurseries, which is celebrating its 150th anniversary, has prepared a bumper birthday display with retro gardens and gardening exclusives. Hilliers managing director Andrew McIndoe, pictured below, said: “It is always challenging to top what you did the previous year, and last year’s display outstanding.

“We are celebrating some of the most outstanding features of the Sir Harold Hillier Gardens, planting a scree bed, a glade of acres, and a dramatic rhododendron and azalea garden.”
