POLICE have today launched an arson investigation in Hampshire.

It comes after a classic car was set alight outside a New Forest home this morning.

Officers have taped off a home in Saxon Road, Blackfield, where the red Saab is being examined.

Daily Echo:

Police confirmed  this morning they had arrested two people in connection with the incident, including one for assaulting a police officer.

The damage seems to be limited to the interior of the vehicle as the outside appears normal but the windows are blacked out.

Hampshire Fire and Rescue confirmed they attended the blaze at around 5am with one appliance from Hardley Station at the scene using a hose reel to extinguish the flames within 20 minutes.
