FIREFIGHTERS were called after a horsebox turned over following a crash near Winchester.
The incident involved two vehicles, one of which was towing the animal.
Three crews - from Basingstoke, Winchester and Overton - arrived at Stratton Crossover, southbound on the M3, to find the box on its side with the horse still inside.
The animal was attended to by the Animal Rescue Unit from Lyndhurst but was not hurt.
South Central Ambulance Service treated one male at the scene.
It took place at 2.41pm on Sunday (July 27) and the road was cleared by 5pm.
