PLANS for a £14m transformation of a Hampshire college have been given the green light.
The ambitious plans for Fareham college was given approval by the borough council this week.
Work can now start on improving the Bishopsfield Road campus.
Plans include creating a modern frontage onto The Avenue and centre around a new courtyard of workshops and studios including a new digital industries lab, hair and beauty studios, art studios and a sports science lab.
Peter Marsh, deputy principal at the college said “Our plans to remodel our campus will provide Fareham with further education buildings on a par with the very best in the country.”
The development is due to commence this summer and complete for September 2015.
