Why wasn't the driver arrested? I had always thought that was routine when there has been a fatality.

Maybe there was no evidence that he/she had actually committed a crime, the fact that there was a fatality not actually constituting evidence of a driving offence having been committed.

Uh there is zero proof the car was at fault yet the usual suspects here jump on the "car driver is guilty". We live in a world where you are innocent until a court decides otherwise were you present when the guy died? No so kindly shut up, the guy lost his life now is NOT the time for finger pointing

Where? Point to one post where someone is blaming the car driver. There isn't one. There's one asking why he wasn't arrested, but that's a misunderstanding about process, not an assumption of guilt.
