RESIDENTS are being given a chance to view and discuss plans for a retirement flats development in Ringwood with a public exhibition at Greyfriars Hall, Christchurch Road, on Wednesday.

Ringwood-based Churchill Retirement Living is preparing a planning application for a development of 25 privately-owned one and two bedroom apartments on the site of the former Ringwood Public Offices, Christchurch Road. The exhibition runs from 3.30pm to 7pm.

Andrew Burgess, planning director at Churchill Retirement Living, said: “As a local company based in Ringwood, we are really excited to be bringing retirement living to our home town.

“Because of our location, we understand the area well and are keen to give members of the local community the opportunity to speak to our planning team. The comments we receive from local people at this exhibition will then be considered before we submit our final planning application.

“Not only do our developments offer security, peace of mind and independence for residents, they in turn free up larger, family homes for local people.”
