A TUTOR at City College Southampton has been recognised internationally as an expert in her field.
Counselling and psychotherapy course leader Annie Thompson, pictured above, has been voted on to the board of the European Association for Person- Centered and Experiential Psychotherapies (PCE Europe) at its General Assembly in Prague.
Currently chair of the British Association for the Person-Centered Approach to Psychotherapy (BAPCA), Annie said: “This is an absolute honour for me.
“I’m passionate about the subject I teach so to be so heavily involved in the industry at an international level is very exciting.
“I look forward to meeting with other members of the board and bringing back the latest industry news to students at City College.”
Unusually for a college, City College offers counselling courses right up to degree level. Its BA (Hons) degree in Person- Centred Psychotherapy is run in partnership with Middlesex University and gives students the opportunity to gain a degree without the cost of university tuition fees.
