A POLISH community in Hampshire is showing its gratitude to the people of a Hampshire church by offering the chance to win a holiday in Mallorca on Sunday, June 22.
The founder of SOS Polonia Barbara Storey is giving fellow parishioners at her Roman Catholic church in Hedge End the chance to win the grand raffle prize of a week’s holiday at her holiday apartment in the Mediterranean.
She said she wanted to say thank you to the “receptive and supportive” people who have accepted the Polish community over the last 10 years.
Five hundred tickets are on sale at £2 each through the RC Church of Annunciation and the lucky winner will get a week’s holiday, plus £100 towards the cost of flights and a bottle of champagne on arrival.
Barbara said: “I am very thankful because they are so supporting, very friendly. They appreciate our culture and our differences and they have been very welcoming.
“They have been joining us in our national celebrations. They have been absolutely fantastic.”
Based in Terminus Terrace in Southampton, SOS Polonia supports Polish people living in Hampshire.
