Southampton City Council has been selected by the Department for Communities and Local Government (DCLG) as one of 24 pilot areas for trialling new and innovative ways of publishing statutory notices.

Working in partnership with the Daily Echo, this portal brings together Licensing and Highways (road closure) notices and allows users to sign up to receive email and/or text alerts when new notices are published. The trial runs until the end of September 2015.

Current Highways (road closure) notices are summarised to the right. Click on the summary to view the full notice or visit notices.southampton.gov.uk . The location of these road closures and the recommended diversion routes can be seen on the Southampton City Council roadworks map. Open up the map and select the ‘road closures and diversions’ filter. You will be able to see the location of planned roadworks across the city up to three months in advance.

Licensing notices are also summarised to the right. Click on the summary to view the full notice or visit notices.southampton.gov.uk . You are able to make a Representation to the council on any of the licensing notices by visitingsouthampton.gov.uk and following the instructions, or by clicking the link at the top of each notice.

Notices will also be automatically posted to the council’s Facebook SotonCC and Twitter @SouthamptonCC accounts.
