THE story of Southampton Docks will be told at a special lecture by tourist guide Jack Wilson. The event coincides with the 175th anniversary of the laying of the first stone of the docks on October 12, 1838 and will chart the port’s history through the years. It takes place on October 16 from 7pm at the exhibition gallery in Oceans, High Street. For tickets call 023 8178 1017.
