TWO partners from a leading Southampton law firm have been appointed to a government panel of lawyers supporting vulnerable people across the country.
Anthony Fairweather and Kelly Greig of Clarke Willmott LLP will work with a panel of professional deputies to work with people who lack capacity to make decisions about their finances.
The government has appointed 68 solicitors from across the country who will sit on the Office of the Public Guardian panel.
Kelly Greig.
Panel members will be chosen by court to act as a deputy when no one else is available to offer that support to a person who lacks mental capacity.
Mrs Greig said: “Our appointment is a tribute to our profession and to what we do to support people in often very difficult situations.
“I look forward to working with the panel to undertake this important role on behalf of clients who will need our support.”
