SOUTH Coast ferry firm has been awarded two customer experience accolades.

The firm won awards for best social customer services team and customer experience team at the London and South East Contact Centre Forum Awards.

The announcement was made at a glitzy awards gala dinner at the Radisson Hotel at Heathrow Airport.

Red Funnel won the awards after having to demonstrate that staff focused on customer service, helped team members develop skills and outperformed other teams.

The firm’s customer service director Murray Carter said: “It’s an honour to have won both of the awards we were shortlisted for and I’m delighted the hard work of our customer service teams was recognised.

“Red Funnel is passionate about delivering exemplary levels of customer service, which spans from face-to-face communications to the use of social media.”

The firm has also recently unveiled plans for a new passenger ferry to be built and travel between Southampton and Cowes.
