HAMPSHIRE’S Import Services has scored a hole in one with its latest logistics contract to distribute Cleveland Golf products including clubs and accessories direct to retailers throughout Europe.
Cleveland Golf, which is based in the USA, is a favourite of big name golfers such as Vijay Singh, pictured.
The brand was recently snapped up by golf giant SRI Sports, owner of rival golf brand Srixon, which is already a customer of Import Services.
Julian Palmer, CFO overseeing both Srixon and Cleveland Golf brands in Europe, from a head office in Alton, said: “Import Services has already improved Srixon’s supply chain significantly so we made the decision to move Cleveland Golf’s logistics operations from France to the UK. This consolidation process will further assist our business development plans.”
Import Services’ facilities in Southampton will provide a distribution hub, with direct delivery to European golf speciality retailers, golf pro shops and driving ranges.
