MOTORISTS were facing a second motorway traffic jam this morning when a lorry and a car collided on the M27.

Earlier this morning police closed the M3 northbound at junction 14 while a man was being detained under the mental health act.

And commuter traffic was brought to a stand still again at around 10.30am while maintenance teams rushed to clear the M27 westbound near junction 4.

A police spokesman said an ambulance was dispatched to the scene as a precaution but that nobody was hurt.
