Classes, Courses & Workshops
This 10 week course with tutor, Anna Harding, is suitable for students who have a demonstrable knowledge of music theory at this level, have completed our Reading Music for Improvers course or passed ABRSM Grade 2 Music Theory. The group will be working to ABRSM Grade 3 and 4 syllabuses.
It will combine practical group exercises with individual tasks to learn in a variety of styles and develop concepts in more depth. Covering topics such as simple and compound duple, triple and quadruple time signatures and the grouping of notes and rests within these times; Introducing the Alto Clef; Major and Minor Key signatures; Chord construction and recognition; Transposition between clefs.
