This week David Mansfield tells why we'll be in good company if we get on our bikes and join Sky Ride Local
Sky Ride Local rides are fun, free community bike rides that offer a great way of getting out and exploring your local area and meeting like-minded people.
British Cycling trained ride leaders – friendly local volunteers who love bike riding and want to share that enthusiasm – guide groups of around 20 people along a variety of interesting local routes, including the seafront, the New Forest and Purbeck.
They’re on hand to provide friendly encouragement and guidance, whatever your age or ability.
Rides are all free and are grouped in levels to suit everyone from beginners to experienced cyclists. Whichever you choose, you’ll be riding on safe routes, in good company.
If you’re an adaptive bike user with access to your own bike and would like to participate in Sky Ride Local, please get in touch through goskyride.com to discuss which routes might be suitable for you.
You only need a roadworthy bike to take part.
Get Fit – Get Happy, come and join Sky Ride Local this year.
