1) Sport in the Community:

Open to any individual, club or association that believes an additional grant of £7,000 will further its aims and success.

2) Charity in the Community:

Open to any Southampton region registered charity.

3) Education in the Community:

Open to any school, college or even Government organisation providing an educational service on a non-professional basis.

TO enter someone for the awards you will need to send a 250-word written explanation to Flybe of why you believe your nominee should receive the bursary award, specifying the appropriate category and detailing the nominated individual or organisation’s name, address and telephone number.

A panel of judges will be invited to judge entries for the bursaries in the individual categories. The judging panel will be invited by Flybe and will consist of 1 Flybe representative 1 Southern Daily Echo representative Matt Le Tissier who is Flybe’s sporting ambassador 2 others to be announced The judging panel will select 3 nominations per category that will be featured in the Southern Daily Echo. Readers of the Southern Daily Echo will be invited to vote on who they want to be the Flybe Local Heroes in each category.
