THEY glide gracefully through the skies, soaring to dizzying heights before dipping dangerously low.
Throughout the 1990s Hampshire residents took to running around wind-beaten fields in order to launch their kites into the air.
Various venues played host to kite festivals, including Itchen Valley Country Park, Five Acres, Beaulieu National Motor Museum and more.
A veritable plethora of kites could be seen from in the skies, from white work shirts to butterflies and diamond shapes to the millennium bug.
