Each week in our Recruitment sections on a Thursday and Saturday we will give readers who have been made redundant or already unemployed the chance to promote themselves to prospective
employers. It’s a chance for job-seekers to shout about why they deserve to be taken on. The feature is open to anyone of any age, all we ask is that you are already out of work or have been made redundant and can provide proof if called on to do so. If you wish to take part then you will need to supply us with a photograph – although in some cases we may be able to take one for you – and a short resume of your profession, skills, qualifications, talents, and a few personal details such as age, hobbies, interests and hopes for the future. You will need to provide contact details that can be published in the paper. You may be new to the jobs market looking for that first step on the ladder, or have years of experience under your belt and just want to get back into the working world. You might even be looking for a complete change of career or are seeking volunteer work. It’s up to you to Sell Yourself. The feature is free and subject to availability of space and at the editor’s discretion. |
If you are interested in taking part or know someone you think may benefit from the Sell Yourself feature then please contact editor’s PA Anne Dickie for an easy to complete application form either
by email (anne.dickie@dailyecho. co.uk) or by post to Anne Dickie, editor’s PA, Southern Daily Echo, Newspaper House, Test Lane, Redbridge, Southampton. SO16 9JX.
