SOUTHAMPTON International Film Festival is the collaboration of two movie nuts who also happen to be brothers, Richard and Christopher Abbott.
The pair are putting on films from every continent with a special focus on Southampton at the event, which takes place from tomorrow to Sunday.
Southampton filmmaker Paul Vernon’s film Strong Arm of the Law, pictured, is having its world premiere at the festival.
Strong Arm of the Law is a revenge western about a Texas Ranger searching for the killer of his dad, set to the Aaron Watson music track of the same name.
It is an independent, non-profitmaking production, shot in colour on location in Arizona.
Other highlights include awardwinning Titanic Love, by Mark Pressdee, a comedy about a fan obsessed with the Titanic.
Visiting lecturers add to the programme, which takes place at Cineworld, The Nuffield and Southampton Solent University.
The festival ends with a glittering awards dinner held at St Mary’s Stadium.
The event has grown from a small networking event for filmmakers in Southampton last year.
