Winchester Film Society is launching a special mini-season of films commencing on Thursday in the Vault Arts Centre at the University of Winchester.
The bid to get world films to a wider audience will get under way with Afghan Star, which shows what happens when Pop Idol hits Afghanistan!
The films are the ‘ones that nearly got away’ from inclusion in previous film seasons.
Sometimes the rights to films means that obtaining copies for general release is a difficult process and the four films included in this mini-season have all taken a special effort to track down and make available for Winchester film goers.
