The judges have chosen their 17 finalists and now it’s up to you.

Start collecting tokens to decide which school will win funding for their nominated building project. First prize: £3,000, second prize £2,000, third prize £1,000.

1. Choose your favourite project from the 17 finalists. Anyone can collect tokens on behalf of a school, even if you don’t go to the school or live in the area.

2. Start collecting tokens printed every day in the Southern Daily Echo until Saturday 8 May. The aim is to collect as many tokens as possible for your chosen school. The more tokens you collect the better your chance of winning.

3. A bonus token can be downloaded below and is also available at branch offices* or from our free newspapers Southampton, Eastleigh and Winchester News Extra & Advertiser, New Forest Post or from one of our four branch offices at – 5 Upper Brook Street, Winchester, 17 High Street, Eastleigh, 4 Hanover Buildings, Southampton and 21a Market Place, Romsey. Bonus tokens are limited to 10% of the total number of tokens per school.

4. Each batch of tokens must be counted and the number of tokens and your chosen school clearly marked on the envelope. Bonus tokens should be batched up separately. All submissions will be verified.

5. Either send your tokens to your chosen school or to the Southern Daily Echo office: School Build Challenge, Southern Daily Echo, PO Box 543, Southampton, SO16 9ZQ. All tokens must be received at the Southern Daily Echo office by the closing date of Monday 17 May 2010.
