THERE is no doubt that a certain little pink pig has turned Paultons Park into an international destination for visiting families with pre schoolers.

The opening of Peppa Pig World has been a massive boost for not only the family theme park but for the region’s tourism business community.

But refusing to rest on its laurels the park goes from strength to strength and has launched yet another new ride.

Magma is the latest thrill seeking attraction to be unveiled at the park in Ower.

The ride is based around a smoking volcano which visitors have to walk through complete with the bubbling lava sounds before emerging within the cavern of molten rock.

Strapped into your seat you are catapulted up through layers of smoke and the now rumbling sounds of the imminent eruption.

Some 25 metres later riders are enjoying incredible views across the theme park and across the New Forest but the calm doesn’t last long as within seconds you face a stomach churning plunge back down into the volcano pit below.

The whole experience is repeated a number of times before the ride is over and your now wobbly legs take you back out into the park.

In keeping with the family-friendly park youngsters over five are permitted with an adult meaning the whole family can enjoy the latest arrival.

It adds to the impressive collection of thrilling experiences as The Edge and The Cobra still deliver their share of shrieks of delight.

For the less brave, or those who simply aren’t quite big enough to hop onto the roller-coasters there are more than enough attractions to keep busy.

From water parks, to log flumes, the gently chugging digger ride, a walk through dinosaur wood or simply a go on the massive bouncy castle, Paulton’s Park continues to be all things to all families, guaranteeing that whatever their age a good time will be had by all.
