At The Mayflower… Have you ever wanted to find out what it would be like to stand on the Mayflower’s stage, or get up close to the beautiful stage costumes? Well now is your chance, as part of the Mayflower’s 25th Anniversary celebrations this year,the theatre will be staging an open day tomorrow.

Some of the highlights of the day will include visiting a dressing room for English National Ballet and being able to explore the costumes, ballet shoes and wigs worn by this world famous company.

Hear excerpts from La Bohème from a guest Welsh National Opera artiste, then visit the dressing room to see behind the scenes.

Families can discover how the technical side of the theatre works, looking behind the spotlight, and experience the actors’ point of view looking out from the Mayflower stage at more than 2,000 seats.

As the world’s largest exhibition of Bond vehicles tops its first 100,000 visitors, Beaulieu
is stepping it up a gear for the summer holidays. To celebrate 50 years of the iconic
James Bond films, the world-famous National Motor Museum at Beaulieu is hosting Bond
in Motion, an exhibition of 50 vehicles from Bond’s history.
Not only has Bond in Motion recently welcomed the Aston Martin DB5 from GoldenEye,
two Honda CRF250R motorcycles straight from the set of the new Bond film, Skyfall,have
arrived ahead of the film’s release in October.
The action-packed exhibition displays Bond vehicles throughout the decades with vehicles
from the humblest parachute to the most iconic, gadget-laden car,plus video footage
of some of the most memorable stunts.

LEARN the tricks of the trade as budding magicians come
together for a summer workshop.
Aimed at eight to 13-year-olds, the workshops will bring young
magicians together to learn new tricks as professional magicians
Marcus Bailey and Richard Kettle dazzle you with their illusions.
