WITH the end of the world supposedly now only a little over two weeks away, it is time to think about taking cover.

According to believers in the Mayan calendar, planet Earth’s final day will come on Friday, December 21.

And what better way to try and escape the threat of Armageddon than by holing yourself up underground?

But while there are still 16 days remaining on the Daily Echo’s unique countdown, why not set yourself a challenge while you are down there, by taking in London’s Tube network in all its, erm, glory.

The world-famous Tube system is made up of 11 lines linking a whopping 270 stations around Britain’s capital city – but how quickly can you visit them all?

The Guinness World Record for the challenge currently stands at 16 hours, 29 minutes and 13 seconds.

So why not combine your getaway attempt with a world record bid during our final days, before Earth reaches the end of the line.
