From the bloodstained departure lounges of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, to the beautifully peaceful worlds of LittleBigPlanet, never have I fluttered between two such contrasting universes. They say that a quick transition between hot and cold is enough to send the body into shock and almost cause death – I’m lucky I survived.

Since arriving on PlayStation 3, LittleBigPlanet earnt itself a LittleBig place in many gamer’s hearts. Who could resist falling in love with Sack Boy?

And of course the game would not be complete if it didn’t give players the ability to create their own zany, fun, fast, cool and funny levels. There’s already a plethora of user-created content available for download and the pool is steadily increasing.

One thing that I would like to have seen more of is interaction between the title and it’s LittleBig brother on the PlayStation 3. Nothing would have pleased me more than to have been able to import my hard-earned wardrobe.

I am sure that there’s not a person on this LittleBigPlanet that’s played the game on the PS3 and didn’t fall in love with the music. And the music on the PSP is equally as enchanting with songs that are perfectly suited.

This is not just the second side-scrolling game that I played this week, but the second that I fell in love with. This is as much a vital game for the PSP as New Super Mario Bros is for the Wii.
