PLATINUM-selling singer and songwriter Curtis Stigers has one of the most distinctive voices in music and tonight he will return to The Concorde Club for his Up Close and Personal tour.
Shooting to international fame with his worldwide hits I Wonder Why and You’re All That Matters to Me, the tour is a rare chance to see and hear Curtis perform his songs in a stripped-down intimate acoustic setting.
He will perform songs from all his albums including his pop/soul recordings and will include some melodic jazz music for which he is celebrated.
The one-off concert will feature guitar virtuoso James Scholfield.
SOUTHAMPTON University’s elite chamber orchestra will perform in its last concert of the season tonight.
The Sinfonietta Summer Concert at Turner Sims, Southampton is principally conducted by professional conductor Jonathan Lo and features the university’s best musicians.
ARGUABLY Britain’s best known pianist, John Lill was due to perform at Southampton’s Turner Sims on Thursday, but has had to cancel the date after minor surgery.
