CLINT Bradley may be right at home in the New Forest. But his music makes him a hero in the Wild West.

The singer songwriter and guitarist, from Ringwood, has been nominated as 2016 Male Western singer of the year by the Academy of Western Artists in Texas.

With the release of his critically acclaimed Western album Riding After Midnight, he is rapidly establishing himself as a new light in the world of Western music.

Nominated Western album of the year in the USA by the Western Music Association, Riding After Midnight has been critically acclaimed both in Europe and the USA, the original songs penned by Clint being hailed as new Western classics.

Clint and his band travel widely across the UK, Europe, Russia and Japan. And Hampshire audiences have the chance to hear the four piece live this week.

With vocals and guitar from Clint, Southampton's own Danny Kelly on percussion, Connie Everard from Portsmouth playing bass and backing vocals and Welsh musician Dave Luke on guitar and mandolin, they appear at The Joiners in Southampton on Saturday night.

Clint said: "The title track (of Riding After Midnight) has gone to number two in the Western Music Association most-played western song in the US and the album itself has remained on the top 30 western music album chart since its release!

"The live show consists of a four-piece acoustic band playing Western music in an authentic style."

The music is also impressing this side of the pond.

David Allan, who presented the BBC Radio 2 Country show for many years, named the album his pick of the year, describing it as 'really classy Western music' during a recent edition of Country Music People.

Clint has also been nominated for a host of prestigious accolades in the UK Country radio awards.
