JAMIE T releases his fourth studio album, Trick, at the start of September and then returns to the south with two big shows the following month.

The indie British hip-hop star has announced gigs at Portsmouth Guildhall and the O2 Academy Bournemouth as part of a 17-date tour in October with his coastal appearances book-ending a huge three night run in London.

It’s almost two years since the Wimbledon singer-songwriter played a sold out Halloween night spectacular in Southampton on his Carry on the Grudge tour. Then a boisterous Guildhall crowd went mad for favourites like Sticks and Stones, Zombie, Don’t You Find, Rabbit Hole and Hocus Pocus.

Jamie took five years to return with his last album so only a couple of years away this time is welcome news for his huge army of fans. His song writing can head off in all directions, from thoughtful acoustic sounds to his trademark frantic indie hip-hop tales of getting into scrapes on the streets of South London.

Recorded in London and Detroit, the eagerly awaited new tunes on Trick already sound full of promise. Radio One’s Annie Mac made the raucously urgent first single Tinfoil Boy one of her hottest records in the world.

Other tracks on the new album include Drone Strike, Tescoland, Police Tapes and Sign of the Times.

Jamie T plays Portsmouth Guildhall on October 3 and O2 Academy Bournemouth on October 12. Tickets for both venues are on general sale on Friday. Jamie’s new album Trick is out September 2 and is available for pre-order now. More at jamie-t.com.
