NICOLA Benedetti, one of the most sought after violinists of her generation, has released her latest album Shostakovich/ Glazunov under the baton of Kirill Karabits and Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra (BSO).
She is one of the most influential classical artists around. Her breakthrough came at 24 when she won BBC Young Musician of the Year competition. She won three Classical Brit Awards, the first in 2008 for Young British Classical Performer of the Year in 2012 and 2013 she won the Classical Brit Award for Best Female Artist of the year.
This exciting new album follows on from Nicola's success with last year’s critically acclaimed Scottish Fantasy, Homecoming album and 2012’s Silver Violin album, also recorded with the BSO. It features Shostakovich’s Violin Concerto No.1 and Glazunov’s Violin Concerto op. 82.
Shostakovich/ Glazunov is on sale now.
