SHE is the United Kingdom’s number one Amy Winehouse tribute act.

And Laura Jane Butler will be spearheading a salute to the stars in a unique fundraiser for a pioneering Southampton children’s cancer centre and a foundation in memory of the superstar soul singer.

CharityFEST is an offshoot of PhoneyFest, which has become the biggest tribute festival on the South Coast.

And Eastleigh’s Concorde Club will once again be the stage for a star studded tribute package on Friday August 12.

CharityFEST will showcase six female tribute acts Amy Winehouse (Laura Jane Butler) Pink (Kyla Porter) Adele (Lareena Mitchell) Paloma Faith (Paula Swan-Sully) Taylor Swift (Katy Ellis) and Katy Perry (Katy Saxon).

It is a fund raiser for Southampton General Hospital’s Piam Brown Children’s Ward and The Amy Winehouse Foundation (AWF).

The Piam Brown unit is a world class oncology and haematology centre catering for children from birth to 16 years-old.

Laura Jane Butler and her husband Deano have raised more than £25,000 for various charities.

Their main chosen charity is the AWF. Ever since Amy's passing they have organised events asking other tributes to help raise funds for an organisation which provides a lifeline to young people battling addictions.

It also helps young people overcome problems of disability, bullying, homelessness and other personal issues to fulfil their full potential.

Amy was only 27 when she died five years ago but in her short life she made a huge impact on the music world.

A songwriter, she was renowned for her deep expressive contralto vocals and her eclectic mix of musical genres including soul, rhythm and blues and jazz.

Her debut album Frank was a critical success in the UK and launched her on a recording career which brought her a string of Grammys and Ivor Novello Awards.
