BESTIVAL will take music fans to the future this weekend as it presents some of the most exciting new acts from Britain and around the world.

Breakthrough bands and singers will play the festival’s electrifying Invaders of the Future stage from Thursday evening through to Sunday night.

Promoter Ricky Bates from The Joiners in Southampton has spent almost a year working to put the stage together.

Bestival is all about the future this year and we’re thrilled to have some of the best new international and local bands playing on our outdoor stage. It’s a chance to see them as they are now before they get really, really big” said Ricky.

“High-octane punksters Asylums appear Thursday while Friday has sets by Clean Cut Kid, Manchester’s Spring King and Southampton’s New Desert Blues and Creeper. Birmingham band Jaws are also confirmed and Sheffield indie stars The Sherlocks break into their current tour to make their Bestival debut.

“On Saturday there’s a huge rock line-up including America’s Pinegrove, Bristol punk rockers Milk Teeth and Merthyr’s Pretty Vicious who were great at this year’s Common People festival.

“Spanish indie rockers Hinds are on board, along with Black Honey and Fickle Friends, both from Brighton. We’re really delighted to present hotly-tipped band Vant, who are supporting You Me at Six at The Guildhall next month, and late night Saturday headliner Danny L Harle.

“Sunday sees The Wytches and fantastic singers Will Varley, JP Cooper and Louis Berry while crossing the Atlantic to appear are much talked about Toronto rockers Pup and New York’s Sunflower Bean.”

See the future now at this year’s Bestival at Robin Hill, Isle of Wight, from tomorrow to Sunday.
