PUTTING football rivalries to one side, the choral societies of Southampton and Portsmouth are coming together for a friendly collaboration this weekend.
Southampton Choral Society and Portsmouth Choral Union will join to make a huge sound for the very operatic Verdi's Requiem at 02 Guildhall Southampton on Saturday night.
They will be joined on stage by Chichester orchestra Southern pro Musica and excellent soloists: Claire Seaton, soprano; Diana Moore, mezzo-soprano, John Hudson, tenor, and baritone Joseph Padfield. Conductor is David Gostick.
The stage will be set with green, white and red plants and Italian flags adorning it.
Southampton Choral Society have previously played for international superstars Carlos Acosta at the Mayflower.
