NEW FOREST rising stars The Magic Gang are supporting Sundara Karma on their Autumn tour which comes to The 1865 in Southampton tonight (Friday).

After their latest Yala! Records single ‘Your Love’ received its first play courtesy of MistaJam as well as a playlist at Radio 1, The Magic Gang’s irrepressible and youthful energy informs their brand new video for the track.

Its Sixties-tinged pop vibe is reflected with a tongue-in-cheek video that was directed by Tommy Davis (nominated for Best Music Video at the NME Awards). Stepping back to the melodic pop heyday, it depicts the band watching themselves as they perform on a playfully innocent Sixties TV show.

Over the course of just three EPs, the quartet – Kristian Smith (vocals/guitar), Jack Kaye (vocals/guitar), Gus Taylor (bass) and Paeris Giles (drums) – have accumulated over 5 million streams at Spotify, while Radio 1 support prior to ‘Your Love’ has come from both MistaJam and Huw Stephens. They kick-started 2017 when they were tipped in Apple Music’s New Artists 2017 and VEVO’s dscvr lists

With high profile shows including Glastonbury, The Great Escape, Bestival and a sold-out London headline show at Heaven - not to mention their two storming performances at Southampton's Common People Festival in 2016 and 17, The Magic Gang are proving adept at inspiring raucous audience reactions with the raw energy of their sound. They’ve previously toured with the likes of Wolf Alice, Hinds, Swim Deep and Spring King.
