A RAPTUROUS welcome greeted Paloma Faith as she made her grand entrance onto the Wedgewood Rooms stage.
Hiding coquettishly behind two large fans, dressed in a froth of white petticoats and teetering on killer heels, she had the full attention of the room from the word go.
She delivered on every level, blasting out crowd-pleasers such as Stone Cold Sober and Upside Down.
Her pristine white frock was soon being used as a canvas to add drama to her performance. Powder paint was applied with a powder puff in a cloud of pigment and glitter – it wasn’t immediately clear what it was all about, but that didn't seem to matter.
All too soon the show was over, brought to a climax with a rousing rendition of New York.
