Album of the Week: Robbie Williams – Reality Killed the Video Star.

Ok, my album of the week popped up at number 2 in the chats last weekend, just beaten by JLS to the number one spot.

Former Take That member, Robbie William’s new come back album hits all the right notes for me. He returns to his old sound, after not having the best reviews for his previous album ‘RudeBox’, it was the right move to return to the feel that did so well for him in the past.

There are lots of notable tracks on the album, the first chat release ‘Bodies’ is a good listen, but other tracks like ‘Morning Sun, ‘Star Struck’ and ‘Last Days of Disco’ are well worth checking out, all would hit the top spot if released in the charts.

So make sure you give it a listen, cause Robbie is back to stay and I’m sure it won’t be long till he makes his return to ‘Take That.’

Record of the Week: X Factor Finalists – 'You Are Not Alone'

My record of the week is by the X Factor Finalist and is a cover of Michael Jackson’s ‘You Are Not Alone’. Now not only do I like this because it is one of my favourite Jackson tracks, it’s also put together quite well, so often these reality show singles and albums can be a bit hit or miss, but this one hits all the right notes.

Like last years version of ‘Hero’ all proceeds are going to charity, Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity is this years choice.

The record sees all 12 finalists come together for the song, each of them taking a few lines to sing here and there.

I really like it, and it well worth buying as all the money goes to a good cause; this track is a definite for the top spot and the first taste of success for the eventual winner.
