LIAM Gallagher’s new band Beady Eye will play Southampton in April.

The band have announced a UK tour which will follow the release of their debut album Different Gear, Still Speeding next month.

Beady Eye, formed in 2009 by the former members of Oasis, following Noel Gallagher’s departure from the legendary band, have already been nominated for Best New Band at the NME Awards without making a live appearance.

Their debut single The Roller is out on Monday, February 21, and follows tracks Bring The Light and Four Letter Word, which have both been made available over the last few months for fans.

Ten other brand new tracks will be available on the album, set for release on February 28 and one of the most eagerly anticipated of 2011.

The band had previously announced three shows for March, which sold out immediately and will also play the sold out Isle of Wight Festival in June.

Tickets for the Southampton Guildhall date, on Tuesday April 26, go on sale on Friday at 10am, restricted to four per person.

They are available from various outlets, including beadyeyemusic.com, ticketmaster.co.uk or from the 24 hour hotline on 0844 811 0051.
