HIS audiences have included Paul McCartney – at The Beatle’s wedding – The Queen and Richard Branson.

Award-winning jazz singer and tenor sax player Ray Gelato, who has opened for Robbie Williams at The Royal Albert Hall, will be headlining the international jazz night at The Concorde on Wednesday.

He brings with him his Giants band – a multi-talented group of musicians whose mission is to entertain with their popular jump ’n’ jive and swinging sound.

Ray’s first musical influence came from hearing his father playing Sinatra and Sammy Davis Junior records.

And Ray is truly one of the last in the long line of great jazz entertainers with countless albums, releases and world tours under his belt.

With more than 25 years in the business he has scooped a string of awards and nominations including Ronnie Scott’s Best Band, plus a nomination for BBC Radio 2 Jazz Artist Of The Year in 2006 and BBC Heart Of Jazz in 2008.

He has appeared with the BBC Symphony Orchestra in Hyde Park, The Proms, and with Will Young at the BBC’s VE Day Concert in Trafalgar Square.

Ray has just released a new album, Salute to the Great Entertainers, in which he pays tribute to some of his musical heroes.
