TO celebrate the release of her new single, Italian Song, Southampton singer-songwriter Anja McCloskey is performing a handful of intimate live shows at book shops up and down the country.
“It’s so different to a music venue,” said Anja.
“People never seem quite sure how to behave in a slightly strange environment, which means everyone is very quiet and attentive. And hopefully our audience will discover lots of lovely books while listening to us. I am a huge literary geek and anything that will get people into books works for me!”
Recorded in the Victorian Quaker Hall in Southampton, Italian Song is the follow up to the acclaimed single and former Q Track of the Day – A Kiss, released in January this year.
Anja will be at Peter Rhodes Bookshop at 21 Portswood Road, Southampton, from 6pm tonight.
