PUNK by the Sea comes to Portsmouth this weekend with an impressive line-up including The Buzzcocks, Sham 69 and The Damned.
With a resurgence of interest for all things punk in the light of the Jubilee celebrations, the four-day event at South Parade Pier in Southsea looks set to be a humdinger with more than 70 bands taking to the stage from today.
Promoters King Ratty, Darrin and Pinky – frontman of local band Night of Treason – came up with the idea following previous successes staging charity gigs.
Other bands booked to appear include the Rezillos, GBH and Slaughter & the Dogs as well as more homegrown talent in the shape of the Flying Alexanders.
