SINCE bursting onto the world music scene in 2008, Mor Karbasi has captured audiences internationally with her gorgeous and exceptional voice.
An extraordinary singer, songwriter, composer and arranger from Israel, she performs a wide variety of passionate songs from the Middle East, North Africa and Spain.
Now based in London, Karbasi – also a classically trained pianist – sings in Ladino, Spanish, Hebrew and on rarer occasions, English.
Directly descended from Moroccan and Persian Jewish parents, her heritage has influenced her performances.
She will perform at the Ashcroft Arts Centre in Fareham tonight at 7.30pm, and tomorrow at Forest Arts in New Milton at 8pm.
