n TOMORROW is the perfect time for the Christmas festivities to start with the Southampton Philharmonic choir. Playing at Southampton Guildhall, the choir will tell the story of Bach’s Christmas Oratorio in a series of dazzling choruses and sublime solo arias.

The varied and often dramatic music has all the profundity and grandeur associated with Bach's great choral works, with the added joy and celebration of the Christmas story.

Played by the baroque specialist orchestra The Hanover Band using period instruments, and sung by a distinguished team of four British soloists, this promises to be an ideal preparation for the upcoming season.

Running for over 150 years the SPC are now officially Southampton’s longest-established music society and this show is one not to be missed.
