ORGANISERS have pulled the plug on the Party in the Park DJ event, due to take place on Friday night.
Featuring Chip, Trevor Nelson, Charlie Sloth and Artful Dodger, it promised to take over Stoneham Park.
But weather fears have caused organisers to postpone the event.
Michael Kurn told the Daily Echo: “Due to the poor weather this week and the predicted forecast on Friday, it has put us in a position, where it has been decided that in the best interest for all involved to take the tough decision to postpone the event.
“Going in to an event with a high proportion of uncertainty is not something we could do, for all the small businesses involved in the event.”
Tickets will be valid for a smaller event at 90 Degrees on Friday featuring Charlie Sloth and Artful Dodger and also for future rearranged nights with the other acts.
