STOMPIN’ DAVE AND HIS BLUEGRASS BAND
DORSET talent Stompin’ Dave has now teamed up with the cream of London’s vibrant bluegrass scene to form a new bluegrass super-group.
The band features Dave on vocals, five-string banjo, and flatfoot dancing, and members of top London hoedown bands Cut A Shine and Kidnap Alice including Joe Buirski on double bass, banjo and voice, Jerry Bloom on fiddle, and also Ally McAuley on guitar and voice.
The band, which plays classic bluegrass and hillbilly music, have already appeared at Bestival.

TORD GUSTAVSEN ENSEMBLE
ENJOY an evening with the chilled-out sounds of the Tord Gustavsen Ensemble, with music from their new album Extended Circle at Turner Sims on Tuesday.
Norwegian pianist and composer Gustavsen describes this latest release as being the completion of a double circle of trilogies. The music embraces the Norwegian traditionalism, gospel and blues that shone in Gustavsen’s debut.
