AMERICAN indie rock band Warpaint perform at The Wedgewood Rooms, Portsmouth on Thursday ( June 30).
This is an exclusive warm up for British Summer Time at Hyde Park with Massive Attack.
Warpaint were formed in 2004 by Emily Kokal, Theresa Wayman and Jenny Lee Lindberg.
Former Red Hot Chili Peppers guitarist John Frusciante mixed and mastered the band's debut EP, Exquisite Corpse released in 2008. Current RHCP guitarist Josh Klinghoffer performed drums and guitar on the EP in 2007. It was followed by their first full-length album, The Fool, in 2010. The band then toured behind the album for two and half years. The last, self-titled album represented drummer Stella Mozgawa’s first full collaboration with Warpaint since she joined shortly before the band recorded The Fool in late 2009.
